Almost Done!

I am now 34+ weeks. I can't believe I've made it this far! We have now passed when Carter was born so we know that prematurity wise this baby would be fine in the long run but we are going to go for gold and try to get this baby home with us. I only have to make it about a week and a half longer for that. The last of our family help left yesterday and now we will try to make it work with friends and people from church. We are so blessed and grateful to have the children that we have and this new one to enter into our family. We are constantly amazed at our Heavenly Father's love and that he still answers prayers with miracles. To quote Edwin McCain on my play list "these are the moments I'll remember all my life. I've found all I've waited for and I could not ask for more."

Carter turns Five!!!

When did I get a five year old?

Easter

We had a wonderful CA Easter with temps in the 80's. Of course I was inside in bed but the kids enjoyed it!

Almost 32 weeks

I had a Dr. appt. today. I will be 32 weeks on Wednesday and everything is going very well. Ther doctor says that I am doing very well, things aren't changing and he seems to think that making it 4 more weeks shouldn't be a problem. It is amazing to me how blessed we have been. At one point I didn't know if our baby would even survive and now I may actually be able to have a full term baby. We are so grateful for this blessing.

30 Weeks!

Well we've made it to 30 weeks! This was my first major goal besides all of the smaller stepping stones I'd made along the way. When I was first put on bedrest at 21-22 weeks the doctor seemed to think that I would be very lucky to make it to even 30 weeks so I feel very blessed to be here. With my doctor visit this week and his optimism, I am finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. As I was sitting in the Dr.s office I was remembering how fun my first pregnancy was before I knew anything could go wrong. I was trying to convince myself to enjoy this (possibly my last) pregnancy. Lately I have been feeling that I have the gestation of an elephant but someday I'm sure I'll miss those kicks and flips inside my belly. Carter likes to converse with the baby through my mouth. I guess he thinks the sound will reach him better in my tummy that way.
